Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, boleros from the past, and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is passionate about tangos and opera, and the dramatic shows that she attends. Following her singing lessons with mom, she started more serious training in vocals at age 16 under the tutelage by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. She performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young scholar and professional. Following her move in America, United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she relocated to Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer in traditional Latin American music at private occasions. She is passionate about performing, music, and the arts keep active in community projects for both an artist as well as a instructor. Ana has been a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations to keep this tradition alive.
